Current Construction Status for Appendix R Modifications

PSC letter from Williams to Calvo dated August 21, 1987 (P-87267)
Dear Mr. Calvo:
PSC committed to install permanent platfonns to provide operator access to the FSV Reactor Building main steam vent valves by February 1, 1988.
The construction work to install the platforms is in progress, but due to material procurement delays will not be complete until April 1, 1988.
In the interim, until the platform installation is completed, i
dedicated ladders near the valve locations are available for operator use should the need arise.
The temporary use of the dedicated l
- ladders for operation of the main steam vent valves was discussed with the resident inspector and he is in agreement.
