INSPECTION NO. 15000004/97-007
Dear Ms. Shepherd:
On July 17,1997, Eric H. Reber of this office conducted a safety inspection at Merck
& Company, West Point, PA of activities authorized by the NRC license listed below.
Your activities in NRC jt.risdiction are authorized by a general license granted by
10 CFR 150.20(a). The inspection was an examination of your licensed activities as
they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's regulations
and the license conditions. The inspection was limited to observations by the
inspector, interviews with personnel and celectNe examination of records related to
activities within the NRC's jurisdiction. The findings of the inspection were discussed
with Ralph Jacobs, at the conclusion of the inspection.
