Dear Mr. Vickers:
In resconse to your letter of September 15, 1987, I am writing to clarify the position of the New Hamshire Office of Emergency Management with resoect to recent 350 submissions.
Both the Personnel Assessenent and the Shelter Study for Beach Areas constitute data which is considered by the New Harroshire Of fice of Emergency 9
Management in the develooment of State Response Plans. We desire that FEMA and the RAC develop technical assistance comments relative to these documents and we look forward to receiving the benefit of that planning assistance.
The Letters of Agreement constitute updates to the Letter of Agreement Volume of the New Hampshire Radiological Emergency Resoonse Plan (NHRERP).
This Volume, perhaps more than any other, will undoubtedly undergo continual todate throughout the life of the plans.
T'n narrative included with the Letters of Agreement is meant to provide some clarification on issues previously raised by FEMA in its review of the NHRERP.
44 CFR 350 provides that "Federal agercies, includirg FEMA Regional Staff, will be made available won reauest to assist states and localities in the developtrent of plans." We are reQuestirg that FEMA Region I assist the New Hamshire Office of Emergency Management by reviewing and commenting won the sutraitted doctments.
I am confident your establithed procedures are consistent with the above regulatory language and that this request is capable of accommodation.
Sircerely, A10 HIN N
