j Gentlemen:
Effective January 15, 1988, the Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility (CFFF)
Quality Control Records function's operating personnel and responsibilities were integrated with the CFFF Nuclear Materials Management function.
This was an obvious recognition of the f act that there is considerable duplication of effort involved in maintaining Quality Control Records ("Traceability") and Nuclear Material Management Records ("Accountability").
This re-organization has no impact on existing CFFF safeguards.
All personnel described in current safeguards
- plans, procedures, and ancillary supporting documents will retain their described responsibilities.
Therefore, the subject safeguards plans, procedures, and ancillary supporting documents will NOT be revised to reflect the following non-substantive alternations:
The "Nuclear Materials Management" function described in applicable documents means "the safeguards-significant functions of Nuclear Materials Management and Product Records."
The "Manager, Nuclear Materials Management" position described in applicable documents means "the safeguards significant duties and responsibilities of
- Manager, Nuclear Materials Management and Product Records."
The "Manager, Uranium Accountability" position described in applicable documents means "the safeguards-significant duties and responsibiIities of Manager, Uranium AccountabiIity and Product Records."
