SERVICE WATER SYSTEM WATER hat 44ER SDAR: CP-87-130 (FINAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
l On January 6,1988, we notified you via our report logged TXX-88034 of a reportable deficiency involving Service Water System water hammer and column separation at the inlet and oulet of the emergency diesel generator Jacket water coolers which can occur subsequent to a service water pump trip.
In that report we discussed the deficiency description, cause, scope restrictions, safety implication; and the corrective action required to resolve the condition.
The purpose of this report is to address the schedule for implementation of the corrective action, pursuant to the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
The corrective actions s;.ecified in our previous report, TXX-88034, are scheduled for completion in Unit 1 by May 13, 1988. Unit 2 corrective actions will be completed prior to the start of the primary system cold hydrostatic
- test, This is our final report on this issue.
