SUBJECT: INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-352/93-20 AND 50-353/93-20
This letter refers to the announced inspection conducted by Mr. J. Carrasco of this office
from August 16-20,1993, at the Chesterbrook office and the Limerick Generating Station,
Units 1 and 2, in Sanatoga, Pennsylvania. The inspector discussed the results of the
inspection with Mr. J. Muntz and other members of your staff at the conclusion of the
inspection.
This inspection focused on activities important to the public health and safety, and was
directed towards engineering technical support activities, with emphasis on the adequacy of
design modification process, configuration management, performance enhancement program
.
(PEP), emergency service water (ESW), and residual heat removal service water (RHRSW)
improvement program.
Details on the areas examined during the inspection are described in the NRC Region I
inspection report, which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the inspection
consisted of selected examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed. The engineering

organization displavco effective and efficient engineering support to the plant. Adequate
team work and effective communication between corporate and site engineering was noted.
