, I am writing on behalt of General Atomic Company. Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. S552, and the regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, 10 CF.R S9.8, General Atomic Company wishes to obtain access to and the opportunity to copy all documents in the possession of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission concerning the LaSalle County Nuclear Power Plants 1 and 2 of the Commonwealth Edison Company.

We do not believe that the material requested is exempt from mandatory disclosure under any of the exemptions of S552. However we ask that if you determine that some portions of the requested material are exempt you provide us immediately with a copy of the remainder of the material. We reserve the right, of course, to appeal any such decision. If you determine that some or all of the material is exempt from disclosure, we would also appreciate your advice as to which exemption you believe covers the material which l

you are not releasing, as well as your reasons for invoking the exemption in this particular case. We will pay reasonable costs for locating and reproducing the materials sought.
