A major c::nsideration grcwing out of the Three Mile Island Incident, was the l
need for realignment of One NRC Office of Inscection and Enforcement (IE) organi:ational structure.
Rec:mmencations were included in NUPEG-0660, "NRC Action Plan Develoced as a Result of :ne T'il-2 Accicent."
The new structure, adcressed in the Ti4I-2 action clan, is aimec at better management of :ne pre-ventive inscec:1cn program, quicksr anc more efficient response to emergencias, and closer working relationsnics with the states and licensee management.
Reorgani:aticn of the NRC Regien IV office will become effective Fecruary 27, 1981.
The enclosure snows the new organi:ational structure for Regien :V.
