A major censideration growing cut of the Three Mile Island Incident, was the neec for realignment of :he NRC Office of Inscection anc Enforcement (IE) organizational structure.
Rec mmencations were incluced in NUREG-0660, "NRC Action Plan Develoced as a Resul: of the TMI-2 Accident."
The new structure, addressed in the TMI-2 action clan, is aimed at better management of the ore-ventive inspection program, quicker anc more efficient rescense to emergencies, and closer working relatiensnics with the states anc licensee alanagement.
Recrganization of the NRC Region IV office will become effective Fecruary 27, 1981.
The enciesure shows ne new organi:aricnal structure for Regicn IV.
The cnar identifies sucervisory and other key :ersonnel wno will :e cognizant of li:ensec activities, state programs and otner functions.
There will be no resicent inscector reassignments; however, in several cases, su ervision rescensible for cer:ain resident inscec Or orNces have been nanged.
The 21-hour NRC Regicn IV elecncne numcer (317-354-23a1) anc ne Emergency 10:i#ica-icn System cemain uncnangec for ne present.
