Unauthorized Activities Pursuant to a General License This letter will acknowledge receipt of Form NRC-241 dated October 1, 1980, in which you report activities conducted in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 25-26, 1980; Anchorage, Alaska on October 2-4, 1980;.and of proposed activities in Juneau, Alaska on October 12-15, 1980.
The above Form NRC-241 which was receivea in the Region V office on October 3, 1980, was not submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 150.20 (b)(1).
You will recall that the requirements for the filing of the Form NRC-241 were discussed by Mr. R. Thomas of this office with you and your office staff (secretary) on September 25, 1980.
Because of your failure to meet the requirements of 10 CFR 150.20 (b)(1),
your activities.in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 25-26, 1980, and those in Anchorage and Juneau, Alaska during the periods of October 2-4 and October 12-15, 1980 respectively, appear to be in noncompliance with NRC regulations.
The item and reference to the pertinent requirements are listed in the enclosure to this letter.
This item has been categorized into a level as described in our correspondence to all NRC licensees. dated, December 31, 1974. A copy of that letter is enclosed.
This notice is sent to you pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.201, of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
Section 2.201, in part, requires you to submit to this office within twenty (20)' days of your receipt of this notice, a written statement or explanation in reply including the corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violstions.
