INTERVENORS' RESPONSE TO APPLICANT'S " MOTION FOR ORDER ESTABLISHING SC'"DULE AND MOTION FOR PROJECTED SLdEDULE

~

Intervenors Brenda A. McCorkle and Carro Hinderstein obj ect to applicant's " Motion For Order Establishing Schedule" and would ask the Board to follow the schedule below for the reasons stated herein.

1.

Discovery begins on entry of the Board's special prehearing conference order on admission of parties and ends 76 days later.

The reasons for this amount of tine are the inconpletion and unavailability of the final Safety Analysis and adequate time for full development of the issues by interrogatories and depositions.

2.

The prehearing conference pursuant to 10 CFR 2.752 be held two weeks af ter discovery ends to allow for proper preparation.

3.

Testimony filed for evidentiary hearing three weeks after ASLB tssues the 10 CFR 2.752 prehearing conference order.

4..

Evidentiary hearing 22 days after testi=ony filed.

This notion is made not for the purpose of inpeding, but to ensure the opportunity for full and fair participation for all 781204 o 3oo

parties.

Intervenors' pray that applicant's motion for order establishing

. schedule be denied and that the aforenentioned guidelines for scheduling be followed by the Atomic Safety & Licensing Board.

Respectfully submitted, b
