Dear Sister Berte11:

Whitfield POR Thcnk you for a most interesting presentation on November 6, 1973. L'e

appreciate having the Denefit of your insights and cpinions regarding radiation health effcets and protection.

I cra pleased to forward to you three copies of Consultant Form fiRC-448.

Please complete and return two signed copies tn this Office if you are -

interested in serving as an NRC consultant. There will be some other forms to be completed following evaluation of your NRC-44S.

As was discussed:at our recent meeting, we would most likely be utilizing l your expertise in specific areas of the upcoming EPA-NRC epidemiological planning / feasibility study concerning low-level radiation effects, There is also a likelihood that we would ask you to review and evaluate current repcrts and research findings in the field of low-level radiation epide-miology. While there are additional possibilities for utilizing your services on an intermittent basis, it is difficult to predict any specifics at this point except that these will.be tasks of relatively short duration.

This will allow you to work at a cavenient pace.

Please contact me if I can provide further c.larification.

Sincerely,

)
