Dear Ms. Conner:
This is in reply to your letter dated November 2,1978, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of eleven documents concerning employee overexposures.
Your request was received by the Office of Administration on November 2,1978.
In response to your request, the documents listed in Appendix A are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC.
We have been unable to locate the August 16, 1973, letter identified in your request, however, our search is continuing and you will be informed if we are successful in finding it.
The names of individuals exposed to radiation have been deleted from the documents listed in Appendix A.
This information is being withheld from public disclosure Act (5 U.S.C. 552(pursuant to exemption (6) of the Freedom of Information b)(6)) and 10 CFR 9.5(a)(6) of the Commission's regulations because disclosure of the information would be a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.
Pursuant to 10 CFR 9.9 of the Commission's regulations, it has been determined that the information withheld is exempt from production or disclosure, and that its production or disclosure is contrary to the public interest.
The persons responsible for this denial are the undersigned and Mr. John G. Davis, Acting Director, Office of Inspection and Enforcement.
This denial may be appealed to the Commission's Executive Director for Operations within 30 days from the receipt of this letter.
As provided in 10 CFR 9.11, any such appeal must be in writing, addressed to the l
