i Ey letter of September 25, 1978, from the Long Island Lighting Company (LILCO) t a Harold Denton, of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, a copy of which is attached, LILCO applied for a license under 10 CFR Part 70 to receive,
[ assess, and store unirradiated new fuel assemblies at the Shoreham site.
(3 pies of the Part 70 application itself have been placed in the local public cocument room at Comsewogue Public Library,170 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson, New York 11776 and in the Commission's Public Document Room in Washington, D. C.

t ithough this application is being considered in a separate docket, namely 1
facket No. 70-2884, the NRC Staff will serve Staff-generated correspondence to all individuals currently served with Staff-generated correspondence in the operating license docket.
Tne Staff currently projects that it will complete its review and issue t Part 70 license enabling LILC0 to store new fuel at the Shoreham site by JJ1y, 1979.
