This refers to the inspection conducted by Messrs. D. J. Sreniawski and R. A. The inspection was an examination of activities conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations The inspection and with the conditions of your license.

iodine-125 iodinations are frequently performed in laboratory N-101 of Billings Hospital, no airflow was observed. It was-further noted J
that one person who routinely performs iodinations in this hood and has had two thyroid readings taken since beginning this work in September 1977 showed 35 mpe/ hrs on May 31, 1978 and 46 mpc/ hrs on June 19, 1978.
1 In addition to our concern for corrective action with respect to the specific item of noncompliance noted, we are concerned about the above mentioned condition. Consequently, in your reply to this letter, please describe those actions taken or planned to improve the effectiveness of that part of your program concerning adequate air flow vent 11ations in fume hoods where iodine radiciodinations occur.
