Dr Shirley Ann Jackson Nuclear Regulatory Commission Wa.shirgon. DC 20555 0001

Dear Dr. Jackson:

We need you to take action to stop Louisiana Energy Services (LES) from constructing and operating a uranium enrichment facility between the low inu>me and African American communities of Forest Grove and Center Springs, Louisiana.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Licensing Board recently ruled that:

(1) LES has not demonstrated any genuine need for the facility; (2) the consortium is not financially qualified to construct and operate the proposed plant; and (3) LES failed to set aside sufficient funds to dispose of the estimated 1W,40 tons of toxic radioactive waste.

We want environmentaljustice! l*phold and support the decisions of the NRC's Licensing Board and refuse to license the LES uranium enrichment facility. Your help with this matter is entical to breaking America's shameful pattern oflocating polluting facilities in our low-income neighborhoods and communities of color.

Sending my thanks ahead of time because i know you will do the right thing, Jim Ilorlacher, hfBA (913) 492 - 781S Jimilarlach'd aol com
