This is to inform you, in accordance with the requirements of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act of March 10, 1978, that NRC has not completed licensing action on your export application XSNM-1229 for Taiwan, for which favorable Executive Branch views were received on Augurt 16, 1978.
Final licensing action on this case has been delayed because of the need to obtain additional information concerning Taiwan's nuclear power and research programs.
This additional information is still being collected and analyzed.
The staff is hopeful that this process can be completed and that the license can be issued in the near future.
