I am forwarding for your information Volumes 1 and 2 (text volumcs) of the Final Site Environmental Statement relative to detenninatica of the suitability of the proposed site for the eventual construci, ion of the Sundesert Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2.
The Finai Site Environmental Statement (FSES) was prepared by my staff and the U. S. Department of the Interior (D0I) in accordance with the statement of general policy and procedure on implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, as set forth in the Commission's regulations, 10 CFR Part 51. The FSES was prepared in three volumes: two text volumes and a. map volume. The map volume is being distributed under separate cover by the DOI's Bureau of Land Management. The FSES includes a discussion of problems and objections raised by Federal, State, and local agencies or officials and private organizations and individuals and the disposition thereof.
