Dear Mr. Saltzman:

This is to acknowledge receipt of your request for execution of the above amenc'ments by the Regents.

A review of our records indicate that Amendments

1. 8 to the above Indemnity Agreements superceding the Amendments just received have already been executed by the Regents. According to these Amendments Article III - paragraph 4 (b) (2) have been amended by " deleting the amount S140,000,000" and substitut4.ng therefor the amount

$160,000,000".

In view of this situation, execution of the superceded Amendments does not appear to be necessary.

Please let us know, however, if we can be of further assistance in this matter.
