FIRE PROTECTION EVALUATION (Floating Nuclear Plants 1-8)

In our letter to you dated March 16, 1978, we indicated that completion of the FNP fire protection evaluation was targeted for January 2,1979. We have reestablished priorities on the reviewer's and consultant's workload and expect that we could complete our review by approximately mid-March 1979. In order to accomplish this objective, we intend to meet the following milestones:

January 16, 1979 - Staff issues letter stating results of review identifying unresolved issues and stating final staff positions.

January 30, 1979 - Meeting with applicant to resolve open issues.

March 15, 1978 - Staff fire protection review complete.
