Dear Mr. Claflin:

On April 16,1997, Betsy Ullrich and Dawn Munford of this office conducted a safety inspection at the Royersford Wastewater Treatment Facility (RWTF), First Avenue, Royersford, Pennsylvania. The inspection was limited to collection of samples from the reedbed. A copy of the NRC inspection report is enclosed.
The samples collected were transferred to the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and 1
Education (ORISE) for analyses. Results of the analyses will be forwarded to you when they are available.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, l
Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the Public Document Room. No reply to this letter is required.
