The Government'hereby solicits your offer to-enter into a Letter Contract upon the terms set forth.herein. Such offer is-to be made over the a
signature of.an authorized official of, your organization in the space indicated at thetend of this letter. Upon. acceptance by the.Contracti.ng Officer of the offer, and notification to'you of such acceptance, this j
letter will constitute a-contract upon the terms set forth herein'and
'will. signify a mutual intention to negotiate a definitive contract for.
the1 furnishing of1the supplies or services as specified ander ARTICLE I.
' Upon ' notification to you of the Government's acceptance of your offer,
.made as'aforesaid, you shall proceed immediately with performance of the 8
' work specified in ARTICLE I.
You are not authorized to expe'd monies in.
excess of: $160,939.00, which amount is the maximum liability )f the Government under this Letter Contract; provided, however,.that-this amount may be increased by written notice from the contracting Officer from time to time. at his sole-discretion.
You'will not be bound.to continue performance under this Letter Contract with respect to those items to which the limitation set forth above in this paragraph is applicable if such performance would cause the amount to be expended by you hereunder, together with a reasonable allowance of profit, to exceed such limitation.
If at any time'you have reason to believe that an increase in such limitation is necessary within the next sixty (60) days, you shall notify the Contracting Officer to that effect, proposing
- a. new limitation figure and giving appropriate supporting data, so that
'the Contracting Officer, at his discretion, may increase such limitation.

.In the absence of written notice from the Contracting Officer increasing the maximum lubility of the Government set forth in this Letter Contract, the Government shall not be obligated under this Letter Contract to reimburse the Contractor.for any costs in excess of the stated maximum liability, whether those excess costs were incurred during the course of the performance of this Letter Contract or as a result of its termination.
The date on which this. Letter Contract shall terminate, upon notice'by the Contracting Officer as provided in paragraph B of the clause of this Letter Contract entitled "Definitization.," may be extended at any time, and from time to time, by written notice from the Contracting Officer to the Contractor.
