to receiving water named Kuebler Ditch (discharges 001 and 005), Ransom Bbok (dis-charges 002 and 006), Plum Brook (discharges 003,004 and 007).

in accordance with effluent limitations, monitoring recuirements and '

other concitions set forth in Parts 1,11, and 111 hereof.

This permit and the authorization to discharge shall expire at midnight, Ma rch 31,1985 . Permittee shall nnt discharge after the above date of expiration. In orcer to receive autnorization to discharge -

beyond tne date of expiration, the per.uittee snail submit such infermation, forms, and fees, as are required by the Agency authori:ed to issue NPDES permits no later than 180 days prior to the above date of expiration.

This permit shall become effective 30 days from this date of signature. This pemit supercedes NPDES Permit Number OH 0001392 dated June 12,1975 and modified pemit dated October 13, 1978.

All radioactive effluents must como.lv with the .acolicable Federal  !

standards as specified in Section 4(a)(6) of Executive Order 11752 and Section 4(f) of Circualr No. A-106(12-31-74). The annual repore showing the radioactive levels in the discharges shou?d be forwarded to the Permit Branch, U.S. EPA by Decerber 31, 1980. A copy should also -

be sent to the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for their information.  :

2. When the applicant has established compliance with the discharge limitations, he may apply to the Regional Administrator for possible modi- '

fication of the monitoring frequency for one or more parameters.

3. There shall be no discharge of polychlorinated biphenyls such as is  ;

comonly found in transformer fluids. -

The principle sources are: Space PNer Facility (SPF)

(1) 8000 gpm blowdown from air conditioning cooling tower.

(2) Backwash frcm a mixed bed demineralizer 2 or 3 tines per year. i (3) Discharge from subsurface sumps, i Discharce 002 - to Ranson Brook i The discharges are from Hypersonic Tunnel Facility and consist of: -

(1) Demineralizer backwash 4 or 5 tires per year.

(2) 600 gpm blowdown from induced draf t cooling tower. (!

The main process is nuclear reactor facility for production of neutron and garma radiation. The discharge is mainly from the cooling tower which l removes heat from the 60,000 kilowatt thermal nuclear reactor. Discharge  :
