REVIEW OF CONTESTED VIOLATION FROM APRIL 30,1997 NOTICE OF VIOLATION
Dear Mr. Mulder:
I This will acknowledge receipt of your letter dated May 9,1997,in response to our letter j dated April 30,1997, transmitting a Notice of Violation.
Your letter stated that the static elimination device previously reported as lost had been subsequently found at your facility, and returned to NRD, Inc. for disposal. Based on this information, we have concluded that the violation will be withdrawn.
We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concerning this matter.

RE: REPLY TO A NOTICE OF VIOLATION I am hereby replying to the violation (Docket No. 999-90003) which was issued to Gentex for the loss of a polonium-210 static elimination device, specifically Model P-2021FR, serial number 77203. I am requesting that this violation be rescinded based on new evidence. This particular device (Model P-2021FR, S/N I 77203) was discovered at Gentex in February and returned to NRD, Inc, for disposal. I
- I have attached a copy of the report from NRD, Inc. which verifies the receipt and subsequent disposal of this device P-2021FR, S/N 77203.
