Dear Mr. Ryan:
I am writing in regard to your letter of October 6,1978, to Dr. James Schlesinger, Secretary of Energy, concerning the siting of facilities in the Livermore Valley Region.
At this time, the Department of Energy is collecting the information that you have requested regarding the Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
A response will be sent to you with that information as soon as the data are available.
By a copy of this letter, I am referring your questions about the Vallecitos facility to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as the agency cognizant over the other matters about which you have asked.
