5/20/97 COMMENT RESOLUTION In their vote sheets, Chairman Jackson approved the staff's recommendation not to modify the requirements of 10 CFR 50.55a (g) (6) (ii) (A) with regard to adjustment of inspection of BWR reactor pressure vessel welds at this time, but requested further analysis and review of the issues.
Commissioners Rogers, Dicus, Diaz, and McGaffigan disapproved the staff's proposed response to the BWRVIP at this time, requested that the staff promptly complete its SER, and evaluate further the BWRVIP proposed alternative.
Subsequently, the comments of the Commission were incorporated into the guidance to staff as reflected in the SRM issued on May 30, 1997.
