1 Contract No. NRC-04-96-041 Modification No. 5 Page 2 of 3 The purpose of this modification is to (1) increase the ceiling of the contract by $199,998 from 5862,988 to $1,062,986 to accommodate a within-scope change for inclusion of Subtasks 2A and 28 in accordance with the attached statement of work and the Contractor's technical proposal dated April 18,1997, hereby incorporated, (2) provide incremental funding in the amount of $200,000, and (3) incorporate the changed indirect rate structure which is consistent with the rate ceiling establisited at contract award and with the DOE rate agreement (attached).

Accordingly, the contract is modified as follows:

Under Section B.3, " Consideration and Obhgation - Cost Plus Fixed Fee," paragraphs a, e, and f are deleted in their entirety and replaced with the following in lieu thereof:

"a.

The total estimated cost to the Government for full performance of this contract is $1,062,986.00 of which the sum of $1,003,039.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which $59,947.00 represents the fixed fee.

The amount presently obligated by the Government with respect to this contract is $1,030,000.00.

f.

It is estimated that the amount currently allotted will cover performance through February 12,1998."

Section C, " Statement of Work"is revised to add the effort identified as Subtasks 2A and 2B, as set fodh in the attachment to this modification.

Section G.3, "NRCAR 2052.216-73 Indirect Cost Rates - Alternate 2 (JAN 1993)" is revised to i

read as follows.
