Thank you for sending me a copy of the April 21,'1978 letter that you received from Mr. Edward If. Hyland, Vice-President of Lehigh Portland Cement Co. re Greene County Nuclear Power Plant, Summary of April 6, 1978 meeting.
I live about forty miles from Gementon.
The New York State Power Authority is trylag to ruin the econny of the eres, ife need Lehigh.
ife do not need P ASNT.
The construction vf a nuclear powar plant at Cementon would i
deprive Lehigh the opportunity to develop the.nast promising We need Lehigh known si.te to produ:e cement for years to come.

The economic stability of this area dcoends on Lehigh cnd similar operations.
P AS3Y should not be e.lloJed to uce the oower of erinent domain in seizing property.
PASNT sh:ald be required to prove there is a need for the power.
This cores at a time when P ASNT is selling power to other States.
Also PAS 3r is tax-exempt.
PASNY has a 162 million dollar pumped etorage dam in my county - Schoharie - and does not pay one cent of Town, County or School tar.
Ho private corporation can pull a deaJ. like that.
