Memorandum to the File AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 TO TEXAS NUCLEAR DIVISION IMPORT LICENSE - ISNM078002 Import license number ISNM078002 was issued to Texas Nuclear Division, Ramsey Engineering Company, on June 21, 1978, authorizing the import of up to 35.2 milligrams of plutonium-238, greater:than 80% Pu-238, contained in sealed sources.
On September 7, 1978 Ramsey Engineering Company requested authority to import an additional 88 milligrams of material in the same form.
The findings relating to tne issuance of ISNM078002 dated June 21, 1978, are referenced with respect to this request for amendment. These findings remain applicable for the proposed import of the additional material.
The staff finds that this increase in quantity meets statutory requirements, will not be inimical to the comon defense and security, will not constitute an undue risk to public health and safety and will have no significant environmental impact associated with it.
