Dear Dan:

Enclosed are some recent results, in the form of a draft report, on our Fuel Damage technical assistance subtask at Idaho Nuclear Engineering Laboratory (INEL).

The results include best-estimate analyses of some postulated transients and accidents for which input data were provided by specified vendors to the FRAP-T fuel transient analysis code, which is under development at INEL.

We are planning to hold an information meeting on the INEL Fuel Damage work at 9:00 a.m. on January 12, 1979 in room P-114 of the Phillips Building. These results and possible future work will be discussed by D. R. Coleman of INEL.

I urge you (or your designate) to attend the meeting and participate in the discussion.

Pleasc notify me of your

/

plans in this regard.

Any comments and suggestions you may have con-cerning this work will be appreciated.

Regards, NUA Y Michael Tokar l
