The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) petitioned the U.S. Nucicar Regulatory Cocunission to issue an amendment to NRC Certificate of Compliance No. USA /6722/B for the BS-33-180 radioactive waste cask on July 21, 1978. The requested change involved a decrease in the number of bolts used to secure the cask cover.
