COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTPTC STATION DOCKET NOS. 50-445 AND 50-446 PRE-0PERATIONAL VIBRATIONAL TEST CRITERIA SDAR:
CP-86-67 (FINAL REPORT)
Gentlemen:
On March 19, 1987, we notified you by our letter logged TXX-6327 of a reportable deficiency regarding the design calculations and tests used to qualify the Pre-Operational Piping Vibration Program. Our last interim report was logged TXX-6874, dated October 21, 1987.
This is a final report to update the corrective action implementation schedule for a reportable deficiency under the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e),
in TXX-6327 we informed you that the steady state vibration testing was scheduled to commence in September, 1987.
However, in as much as this testing must b3 performed in conjunction with the hot functional testing (HFT) of Units 1 and 2, the actual start of the steady state vibrational testing will be commensurate with the corresponding Unit I and 2 schedule for HFT, and will
-continue through the power ascension phase of the plant startup.
Documentation of the results of the steady state vibration testing will be available for your inspectors review at that time.
Very truly yours, 4 6. CmJ W. G. Counsil By: /
