'T Descriotion of Deficiency 3
d The internal control wiring on three (3) Westinghouse D.C. Motor Control Centers (MCC) did not agree with vendor supplied wiring or schematic drawings.
PECo identifled the deficiencies in MCC's 20D201, 20D202, and 20D203 during an Internal wiring check of this equipment.
The rrotor control centers were physically Installed but had not been s
energized.
Nonconformance Report No.12622 reported the MCC 20D202 and 20D203 wirint deficiencies on 11/3/87. Nonconformance Report No. 12709 reported the MCC 20D201 wiring deficiencies on 11/24/87.
The wiring errors would have caused damage to equipment and the control circuits of eaulsment powered from the MCC's.
[
Corrective Action,:
f All deficient wiring in the 20D201, 200202, and 200203 0.C. motor control center compartrmnts was reworked to the approved wiring drawings.
The noter control center circuits have not been preoperational tested yet.
Safety Imolications:
i This problem represents a deficiency in the manufacture of the motor control conter coroartments. The Westinghouse Mctor Control Centers were not built In accordance with the vendor supplied design drawings.
This problem has significant safety Impilcations because the problem wiring could have prevented safety-related equipment from perforTning its Intended safety function.
