Amendment of NRC Export License XSNM - 1009 for Pu 238 in sealed sources, contained in Cardiac Pacers
Dear Mrs. Wright:
This letter requests issuance of Amendment #1 to our export license XSNM - 1009 (copy attached) to extend its expiration to January 1, 1981.
Our present license expires on January 1, 1979.
Since December 8, 1976, when this license was originally issued, we have not exported any nuclear-powered pacers to those countries authorized in our license.
We do not expect to exceed our 45.0 gram export quantity restriction within the license extension period, and do not request an increase in this authorization.
Cordis Corporation is properly licensed by the State of Florida to manufactm e and domestically distribute nuclear pacers under license
- 464-3 Amendment #7, which is valid through October 31, 1980.
