Dear Mr. Sears:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with an update on the status of the 10 CFR 2.206 Petition you submitted on August 19, 1996.
By letter dated September 24, 1996, Mr. William T. Russell, Director of the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, acknowledged receipt of your 10 CFR 2.206 Petition. On January 27, 1997, I wrote to you on the status of your petition.
I stated in my January 27, 1997, letter that we expect to complete a Director's Decision by April 20, 1997. This target date still holds.
