Quality Assurance Program Nuclear Regulatory Comission 10 CFR Part 71 GENERALINFORMATI0A The Radiation Safety Officer shall be responsible for the over all compliance of this program. The Radiation Safety Officer will answer directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, who reports directly to the Technical Director, who, in turn, reports directly to the General Manager of Pryor Foundry, Inc. in matters regard-ing the radiography program.

QUALITYASkbRANCEPROGRAM:

Pryor Foundry, Inc. will not design or fabricate radioactive material shipping packages under this program, however the Radiation Safety Officer will require certification of compliance with N.R.C.10 CFR Part 71, from all manufacturers furnishing shipping packages. This certification of compliance (N.R.C. approved) will be required prior to us, Pryor Foundry, Inc., receiving or shipping any radio-active material.

This Quality Assurance Program also incorporates our existing program " Shipping and Receiving of Radioactive By Product Materials", see Operating and Emergency Procedures, sheet OE10, OE11 and OE47. The Radiation Safety Officer must be notif-ied prior to any shipment of radioactive material being shipped and prior to any radioactive material being removed from the carriers (received).

The Radiation Safety Officerbwill verify t'he shipment and shipping package, assure that it meets the requirements, and complete form OE-47. The verification, certification, and form OE-47 will be filed for inspection for at least 2 years.

AUDITS:

Audits of the shipping and receiving files will be performed by the Quality Assurance Manager as he deems necessary to verify all shipments (Shipped or Receiv-ed) of radioactive materials comply with N.R.C.10 CFR Part 71 requirements. Audit reports will be maintained on file for a minimum of 2 years.

PERSONNEL TRAINING:

This program is a portion of Pryor Foundry, Inc. Operation and Emergency PN-cedures and its content will be reviewed throughly with all radiography parsonnel = =
