I. am replying to your letter dated August' 24, 1978, in which you raised questions regarding the NRC staff's analysis of the NRDC petition on occupational radiation dose limits.

As you are aware, the staff has recommended that a public hearing be held to examine the questions associated with occupational radiation exposures raised in the NRDC petition.. The Commission has recently agreed with the staff recommendation to hold a public hearing and has directed the staff to expeditiously prepare for such a hearing which would include all the issues raised by the NRDC petition.
