Dear Mrs Keener:
It is our understanding that Freedot of Information Act Requestyour of fice recently received a from the law firm of Kirk-patrick & Lockhart on behalf of its client Suf folk County, New York, requesting PEMA materials relating to the recently promul-gated Nuclear Regulatory Commission rule amending 10 CFR S 50.47(c) and 10 CPR Part 50, Apper.d ix E, 52 Fed = Reg. 42,078 (November 3, 1987).
On behalf of our client, Long Island Lighting Company, I am writing pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C.
S 552 (1982), and rule s issued thereunder, 44 CFR Part 5 (1987),
to request copies of all documents and correspondence provided to Kirkpatrick & Lockhart in response to their request described above, and copies of all further correspondence written is and received from Kirkpatrick & Lockhart in connection with their request.
I request that these documents and correspondence be provided at the same time as they are provided to Kirkpatrick &
Lockhart.
We agree to pay the necessary charges for copying of any documents provided to Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, and for search time needed to locate any documents provided to Kirkpatrick &
