Arkansas Nuclear One - Unit I Docket No. 50-313 License No. DPR-51 Inspection Report No. 50-313/78-16 (File: 0232)

Gentlemen:

We have reviewed the notice of violation identified in the subject report. In reply to your letter of October 31, 1978, the following response is submitted.

The two (2) bypass tags, which were not identified in the Jumper and Bypass Log as having their removal verified, have been removed and verified in accordance with Procedure 1005.04 (Control and Use of Bypasses and Jumpers).

The Superintendent of Operations has issued a memorandum to the Operations Staf f outlining actions to maintain compliance with Proce-dure 1005.04.

Our Quality Control Group will perform a detailed inspection of the implementation of Procedure 1005.04. This inspection and any findings requiring resolution is expected to be completed by December 4, 1978.
