- NRC INSPECTION REPORT 70-1201/97-202

Dear Mr. Carr:

On February 13 and 14,1997, the NRC completed a criticality safety inspection at your i Lynchburg, Virginia facility. The enclosed report presents the results of that inspection  ;

which was to determine whether activities authorized by your license were conducted safely l and in accordance with NRC requirements. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the report.

Within the areas examined, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with plant personnel, and observation of activities in progress. Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were identified. However, six inspector follow-up items have been identified.

In accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 2.790, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we would be pleased to discuss them with you.
