Dear Dr. Denton:

g m

Attached are letters from Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuestner, Warren Taylor, and Adele Taylor of Oberlin, Ohio concerning the routing of transmission lines from the Berlin Heights nuclear power plant through Pittsfield Township.

I am advised that the NRC considers the acceptability of alternate transmission line routes in the course of its environmental review of new nuclear power plants and that the opportunity for public participation regarding such matters is provided in NRC's proceedings.

I would be most appreciative if you would inform Mr. and Mrs. Kuestner, Warren Taylor, and Adele Taylor of their opportunities to participate.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Best regards.

Sincerely,

$2. -.

Dear Senator Gler.n:

We are strongly oppesed to the proposed transmission t

1dnes from the Berlin Hts. Nuclear Power Plant through Pittsfield township.

The transmissicn towers are exceedingly ugly--all 164 feet of each tower.

They cannot

~

help b'ut devaluate the propert'y of this area.

We are even more strongly opposed to the Berlin Hts.

Nuclear Power Plant.

Energy from nuc~1 ear power plants is bought at toc high a price in terms of immense capital investment for a plant which will only last an estimate.d thirty years and in Terms of added health hazards for future generations.

It is surely time to call for a meratorium on nuclear power plants in Ohio.

Shall our nuclear temorrows light

" fools the way to dusyy death"?

Yours truly, a.

Dear Mr. Glenn:

I ask that you do all you can to stop the building of the nuclear power. plant at Berlin lieights as well at the high voltage transmission lines.

Eo one wants then across or near their property, and quite under-standbly.

Mhy dd6sn't. Ohic join Mair,e, California, Iowa, Eew York, and Wisconsin in g moratoriun on nuclear power plants?
