OPERATING LICENSES The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issuei

• Amendment Nos. 40 and 37 to Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-39 and i DPR-48 issued to Ccamonwealth Edison Company (the licensee) which revisi.d Technical Specifications for operation of the Zion Station Unit Nos.1 ond 2, located in Zion, Illinois. The amendments are effective as of the

date of issuance.

1 Those amendments allow the boron concentration in the pressurizer 'o l

be 200 ppm less than the reactor coolant loop boron concentration.

4 These amendments also make two corrections in the Technical Specificati^ns regarding the Isolation Valve Seal Water System and the Penetration Pressurization Systems.

The application for these amendments complies with the standards aid requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), ard i~ the Commission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made approp-iate i findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter 1, which are set forth in the license amendments. Piior public notice of these amendments was not required since the amendments do not involve a significant hazards consideration.
