Licensing and Regulatory Services Fee In respcase to your letter (Reference c), enclosed is a check in the amount of $2,800.00 for the Licensing Review Fee cf the Maine Yankee Proposed Change No. 65, which deletes license conditions for water quality limits and surveillance requirements falling within the jurisdiction and authority of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. The original submittal for this proposal was mailed on June 27, 1978, with a check in the amount of $1,200.00. The total amount of pa>ments to date for this Licensing Review Fee is $4,000.00.

Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company believes that the NRC revised fee schedule is illegal. Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company is aware that this fee schedule is being contested before the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and therefore submits the enclosed fee under protest without waiving its right to contest the validity of this fee or the entire NRC fee schedule, and without waiving any right to recover, in whole or in part, all fees paid or to be paid under the invalid fee schedule.
