Dear Mr. Schnell:

This letter acknowledges receipt of your form dated June 21,1996, which transmitted l

changes to the Callaway Plant Emergency Plan implementing Procedure for classifying emergencies. Procedure EIP-ZZ-00101, Revision 19, " Classification of Emergencies,"

was submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q)(presumed).

Based on your apparent determination that the changes do not decrease the overall effectiveness of your emergency plan, and that it continues to meet the standards of 10 CFR 50,47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to Part 50, NRC approval is not required. Implementation of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they have not decreased the overall effectiveness of your emergency plan.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
