On May 21, 1986, our letter logged TXX-4820 provided notification that the issue involving difficulties in e+ ~+ing and operating the Safety Chilled.

Water Chiller Units was reporh der the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).

The issue identifies the failure

maintain temperatures at or ac a.iw chilled water return temperature for both the operating and standby chillers.

I In our last report, logged TXX-88103, dated January 18, 1988, we stated corrective action (design modifications to the Safety Chilled Water C. hiller Units and CCW system) for Unit I would be completed by February 26, 1988. We are rescheduling this activity to August 11, 1988.

The schedule for Unit 2

remains unchanged.
