Dear Mr. Felton:
This is a " Freedom of Information Act" request pursuant to 5 U.S.C.
Sec. 552,et seg, and 10 C.F.R. Part 9,
Subpart A.
Please send copies of all documents (including but not limited to letters, telecon messages, notes of telephone conversations, internal memos, meeting agenda, summaries of meetings, etc. )
between any member of or committee of the Board of Directors of Gulf States Utilities Company and officials of the Nucicar Regulatory Commission, commencing in 1978.
In the unlikely event that access and copies are denied to any part of the requested records, please describe the deleted material and specify the statutory basis for the denial as well as your reasons for believing that the alleged statutory justification applies in this instance.
Also, please state separately your reasons for not invoking your discretionary powers to release the requested documents in the public interest.
I request that you waive any applicable fees as disclosure meets the statutory standard in that it would be "in the public interest because furnishing the information can be considered as pcimarily benefitting the general public". 5 U.S.C.
552 (a)(4)(A).
I am a landowner in the vicinity of the River Bend Station and I have very closely followed this docket since early 1975.
