STATUS OF TWO DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE POTASSIUM IODIDE (KI) POLICY 4
The staff is in the final preparation of two documents related to potassium iodide (KI). The first is in response to a petition for rule-making (PRM-50-63) which is in the concurrence l
chain and will be submitted to the Commission for approval on August 1,1997. The second is a policy paper that updates the Kl issue and presents options and a recommendation to the Commission, as directed by a SRM, dated April 25,1997. The policy paper will be submitted to the Commission in accordance with the time schedule given in the SRM. no later than June 1,1997.
