ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT FOR TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT (TAC NO. M98418)

Dear Mr. Quennoz:

The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.196 to Possession Only License No. NPF-1 for Trojan Nuclear Plant. The amendment consists of changes to the License in response to your application dated January 16, 1997, as supplemented on February 24, 1997.

The amendment revises the License to delete the prohibition on moving a spent fuel assembly shipping cask into the Fuel Building.

A copy of the related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed. A notice of issuance will be included in the Commission biweekly Federal Register notice.
