Enclosed please find a letter fran G*s Technolceies Inc. requestinn an arrendment to exnort license XSti:10l?77 to increase the quantity of snecial nuclear naterial for exnort to Yugoslavia for use as fuel in the TRI'iA '8 ark II Research Reactor located at the Jozef Stefan Institute.
Before takino action on this license amendnent, we trould appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed anendment meets the annlicable criteria in the Atonic Energv Act of 1054 as anended by the Nuclear Nonproliferation Act of 197P.

Request for Amandment: Export License XSNM01977, Yugoslavia.
Dear Sir:
GA Technologies Inc. (GA) hereby makes application, pursuant to 10 CFR 110, to amend subject license to extend expiration date from 30 April 1986 to 30 April 1991. We also wish to increase the quantity of special nuclear material:
from:
1.0 kg U-235 - contained in 5.030 kg uranium enriched to 19.9 w/o maximum to:
2.0 kg U-235 - contained in 10.060 kg uranium enriched to 19.9 w/o maximum This is an increase of 1.0 kg Uranium-235 and 5.010 ke uranium enriched to 19.9 w/o maximum. While we have not yet received a firm order, we are anticipating future orders. Since we have already shipp.;* a quar. city of material approaching the limit currently allowed by our license, we need the increase in order to be in a position to be responsive to the antici-pated new orders.
