(a) Packaging (1) Model No.: HA-10 (2) Description A fissile uranium shipping container. The containment vessel is a 5-inch ID steel tube with 0.125-inch wall thickness, with a flanged, gasketed closure, and top and liottom centering plates. The containment vessel is centered within a ( 12.5-inch OD steel tube with 0.0625-inch wall thickness and )65-gallon.16-gage steel drum, built to DOT Specification '7H. The 12.5-inch inner container is centered and supported within the 65-ga11on drum by 0.25-inch diameter spring stcol rod spacers, and thermal and mechanical insulators of vermiculite and unibestos. The total Wolght of the packaging and contents is 220 pounds.

6. Contents as solid compunds shall provide a vapor pressure that is equal to or less than water, and the H/X ratio is not to exceed 20 based on all sources of hydrogen within the inner container.
7. All material shall be contained within a leaktight unbreakable wlyethylene or stainless steel container within the containment vessel.

Pyrophoric materials shall be further packaged in an inert atmosphere.

8. The package authorized by this certificate is hertby approved for use under the general license provisions of Paragraph 71.12(b) of 10 CFR Part 71.
